Let’s dive in and explore the essentials of my freelance writing services together.
How much do I charge?
What Do I write about?
I’m currently what is considered a generalist. This means that I will write about almost anything. There are a few things I currently stay away from (politics, for one). But feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions.
I also have a dedicated website for reviewing gear! This has been a passion for a long time and something that’s so much fun to do. My only note is that I only write about things that I use. To learn more, click here!
What is your background?
I have a background in sales, customer service, firearms, camping, bicycles, and law enforcement.
What do I love to write about?
I’m currently a general content writer, but I have knowledge and interest in the following:
- Outdoor activities (camping, hiking, biking, climbing, and gear).
- I love gear, and it is even better if it has multiple purposes.
- Living a simple life (minimalist movement)
- Helping people build their website
- Firearms (check out this post)
- Converting a small SUV
- Traveling and exploring
- Law enforcement
- Fun life hacks
- Road trips
Do I have a LinkedIn account?
Why yes, I do; click here for a new window to open.
What is the best way to get ahold of you?
The easiest way is to comment below or email me at Contact@EricWilde.com.
Are there ways I can help support you or your writing?
That’s a great question! You are asking the things that I want to share. I recently made a support the Wilde Escape (my blog), which shares some of the things I do and things I like. You can even click here if you feel like buying me a cup of coffee!
Business Related Questions
Moving on to the Business Related Questions section, this part is crafted for those looking to make your mark online. From building your website to discovering the perfect niche and mastering the art of logging into WordPress, I’ve gathered a wealth of information to guide you through establishing and enhancing your online presence.
Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur or looking to expand your digital footprint, this section will equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. Let’s embark on this journey to digital success together.
Why should someone start a website?
Having a website is essential for starting your business today because it’s like having a digital shop that’s always open. It lets people from anywhere find out about what you do and get in touch quickly. Plus, it helps make your business look professional and trustworthy.
How do you create a website?
Starting your website is an excellent step towards establishing your online presence, and there are several ways to go about it. For a comprehensive guide, you can explore the ‘Building Your Freedom‘ category on our website, which offers a wealth of resources and step-by-step instructions to get you started. I also highly recommend checking out our review on Wealthy Affiliate, a platform that could be incredibly helpful in your journey. It offers the tools, training, and support needed to build a successful website. Don’t hesitate to dive into these resources to craft your digital space!
How do I log onto WordPress?
Once you have WordPress installed on your website, it’s easy to forget the steps to log back in, especially if you want to make changes or add new content.
Here’s a simple guide: Open any web browser of your choice, like Google Chrome or Safari, and in the address bar, type in “www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin” (make sure to replace ‘yoursitename.com’ with your actual website address). This will take you to the login page, where you must enter your username and password. After that, you’ll be ready to navigate your WordPress dashboard and edit or add to your site as you please.
What should my niche be?
This is such a great question, and it has taken me a long time to discover (and I am still trying to refine it). I suggest you give this considerable thought.
I always suggest starting with something you’re passionate about or possess extensive knowledge about. I have several passions, though some were challenging to write about extensively. Once you have a potential niche in mind, try to list fifty different topics you could cover.
This process is going to take some time, but it’s invaluable for gauging your niche’s viability. Additionally, exploring other blogs within your potential niche can offer insight into what’s being discussed and what resonates with readers. Setting up Google alerts for topics of interest can also spark inspiration and help kickstart your content ideas. Don’t rush the process; finding the right niche is crucial for your long-term success and enjoyment.

What are ways to come up with content to write?
When it comes to coming up with content, I often draw inspiration from my own journey. I don’t mind sharing things that I’ve learned or challenges I’ve overcome. Additionally, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge from the training at Wealthy Affiliate. It’s one of the programs that have shaped how I approach content creation, offering strategies and perspectives I hadn’t considered before. Sharing these experiences and learnings can provide valuable content that resonates with your audience.
How do you proofread your content? Do you have an editor?
To be honest, one of the most asked questions I receive is about proofreading content. I’ve always found proofreading challenging, especially since spelling isn’t my strongest suit.
So, no, I do not have an editor. But I have amazing friends and family members who aren’t afraid to tell me when something is off, or I use the wrong punctuation. That said, I will never be offended if you find an error and let me know (you can contact me here).
Something that has helped me is using tools like Grammarly and starting to explore AI writers for assistance. These tools have been game-changers for me. Grammarly, in particular, offers an excellent free version that I used for a long time before deciding to upgrade. I highly recommend checking them out. They not only help with spelling and grammar but also enhance the overall quality of your writing.
Do all websites need to have legal disclaimers, privacy policies, etc.?
This is an interesting question that, surprisingly, I’ve been asked about more than I care to admit. I want you to remember that I’m not an attorney. That being said, there is one company that I have had excellent service from. They provide a ton of valuable documents for both personal and professional situations. I decided to write about it (check out my review).
I also have another review you can check out here, specifically for the things every website needs!
